Lynden Air Freight Named Baker Hughes’ Alaska

SEATTLE, June 2, 2000. Lynden Air Freight, Inc. was recently designated
the primary Alaska transportation service provider for Baker Hughes, Inc.,
a Houston-based supplier of oilfield and related services. Under the terms
of the agreement Lynden will handle all of Baker Hughes’ eight operating
divisions’ domestic airfreight to, from, and within Alaska, which
comprises over one-third of its total domestic shipping volume. The duration
of the contract is three years.
Baker Hughes is a leading provider of technology designed to find, develop,
produce, and manage petroleum reservoirs for its oil and gas industry customers.
Its primary services are grouped into three categories: reservoir definition
and characterization, well placement construction and completion, and production
management.
Lynden Air Freight’s attainment of the Baker Hughes contract underscores
the company’s strong presence in Alaska and long history serving offshore
communities around the world. In addition to the Alaska offshore market,
Lynden’s 55 worldwide operations include offshore facilities in Hawaii,
San Juan, Guam, and Saipan.
