Sky Trac: The Next Generation
In Air Freight
Sky Trac from Lynden Air Freight
combines the customer service of our Worldwide Communications Center with
our advanced tracing system -- giving you easy access to shipment information.
Sky Trac provides you fast information on schedules, rates, and procedures.
Use Sky Trac to locate your order, schedule pick-ups, and confirm deliveries.
If you have questions, Sky Trac puts you in touch with the people who
have the answers! The Sky Trac card is backed in full by Lynden Air Freight's
Worldwide Communications Center -- it's also recognized by every one of
our offices nationwide.
Tracing
Lynden Air Freight's tracing
system is customer friendly. To receive quick, accurate tracing information
you need nothing more than your Sky Trac card and your name. In addition,
shipment status is also available with any of the following:
- Customer purchase order
number (or other reference number)
- Lynden airway bill number
- Origin or destination
Lynden Air Freight is a charter
subscriber to the U.S. Community Cargo System, which links our computer
system to those of major airlines. The link permits instantaneous data
exchange and ensures that the tracing information you receive is accurate
and up-to-date.
Traffic
Manager
Traffic Manager is a free service
for purchasing managers. Its procedures allow Lynden to take over the
responsibility of monitoring vendors' progress in filling and shipping
purchase orders. After placing your orders with your vendors, allow Lynden
to take care of contacting them to verify orders, make pick-up and shipping
arrangements, and keep you informed.
Electronic Data Interchange
(EDI)
Lynden's advanced computer
system enables shipment status or freight bill information to be transferred
electronically to your computer. The flexibility of our system, combined
with the expertise of our data processing personnel, give us the ability
to accommodate many customer computer systems. Lynden can accommodate
EDI using either of the following two methods:
Via a direct link between your
host computer and the Lynden Air Freight main computer.
Via file transfers between
personal computers. File transfers can be processed by Lynden or by your
data processing department. For this method, a PC, modem, and communications
software are needed.
C.L.A.S.S. Software
C.L.A.S.S. is a freight distribution
software product for high volume shippers. It automates many aspects of
the shipping process, including preparation of airbills, labels, and manifests.
Shipment data can be printed on hard copy, or transferred to Lynden via
diskette or modem. C.L.A.S.S. software is free for qualified shippers,
and includes installation and training. For more information about C.L.A.S.S.,

Pickup Services
Lynden Air Freight can arrange
pickup service around the clock, 365 days per year. For pickups during
regular business hours, we request one hour prior notification. For time-critical
shipments, special after hours or weekend pickups are available as needed.
House Stops
-- If necessary, a regularly
scheduled daily or weekly pickup may be arranged to aid customers with
their shipping schedule.
Pickup Charge
-- Pickup charges will be based
on the total aggregate weight of the pickup, regardless of the number
of airbills or freight destinations.
Management Reports
Lynden Air Freight's computer
system will allow us to provide customized reports on all customer traffic.
For your consideration, we have listed in this presentation some samples
of the types of reports we regularly provide to clients. Please note that
the information and formats contained in any report can be modified to
meet exact specifications. Some of the reports we can immediately provide
to a Traffic Department include:
Daily Customer Service Report
-- This report is designed
to display shipper and consignee names, Airbill numbers, origin, destination,
pieces, weight, and freight charges. Daily totals for pieces, weight,
and freight charges are also shown.
Weekly Customer Service Report
-- This extends the daily activity
report for a total week's worth of shipping activity. It can be sorted
by origin or destination airport code, date, or by service level.
Service Audit Report
. -- This report lists overall
on-time service performance and can be requested for any desired time
period. From this report, one can find service information for each individual
shipment, plus each lane segment.
Proof of Delivery Report
-- Proof of delivery information
can be included on the service audit report, or on a specialized proof
of delivery report. Either way, we can make it easy for one to receive
signature names, plus time and date delivered on all traffic.
Automatic Customer Notification
(ACN)
-- Lynden Air Freight offers
volume customers an additional information option we call Automatic Customer
Notification, or ACN. With ACN, a report is generated each morning which
is transmitted via our electronic message system to any receiving terminal
at the customer's facility. The ACN report lists your shipments currently
in transit or delivered within the previous day. The ACN report also lists
key Airbill information and current shipment statuses.
